History:
The Spot-On Therapy Group was founded in Wilmington, NC in 2021 by Troy and Brittany Kirchner M.S., CCC-SLP. Brittany first began her dream of owning and starting her own practice while studying at Syracuse University in upstate New York. It wasn't until 2018 when Brittany and her family moved to coastal North Carolina to pursue this dream. After establishing herself in the Wilmington community, she decided it was finally time to turn this dream into reality.
The Spot-On Therapy Group was first established around the Speech Language and Pathology field, with the intention to further expand into Occupational and Physical Therapy; to provide multidisciplinary services for individual families with a "team approach". The primary focus of the practice is pediatric therapy (ages birth to five). The company also prides their practice on early intervention, myofunctional therapy, feeding, swallowing and oral motor disorders, tethered oral tissues (tongue and lip ties), articulation and phonology delays... just to name a few!
The name "Spot-On Therapy Group" was long thought out after Troy and Brittany wanted to incorporate their love for animals, especially their pet Dalmatian Kiko (Hawaiian translation for "Spot"). Not only does "Spot-On" have a fun play on words for the spots on a Dalmatian's coat, it also provides a goal for the company when providing services to our clients to be as accurate as possible.

Brittany Kirchner M.S., CCC-SLP graduated from Ithaca College in 2011 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Communication Disorders with a minor in Deaf Studies. She further pursued her education attending Syracuse University, graduating with a Master's of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2013. Brittany completed her Clinical Fellowship (CFY) in 2014 with Sprout Therapy, under the supervision of Jeanine Mitchell, M.S. CCC-SLP, and accepted a full time position with Sprout immediately following. Brittany was at the forefront of the newly developed toddler program, funded by Onondaga County and New York State, serving as the Lead-SLP. Brittany currently partners with a local Wilmington Multi-Disciplinary team consisting of IBCLC's, Pediatric Dentist's, Infant Body Worker, and Family Chiropractor to help treat and release clients with TOTS and OMD's/oral motor disorders.

Troy Kirchner graduated High School from Roscoe Central School at the foothills of the Catskill Mountains. Upon graduation from the Blue Devils, Troy went on to study Business Administration with a Management concentration at Ithaca College, graduating in 2010. Troy founded and co-captained the Men's Golf team at Ithaca College, where his squad won two Central New York Collegiate Golf League titles in 2009 and 2010. Since graduation Troy has overseen many different organizations including Olympia Sports (Store Manager), The Links at Erie Village (Director of Golf), Northside Collision (General Manager), Raymour & Fanigan (Operations Manager), Register's Auto Collision (General Manager), and currently the Co-Owner and C.E.O. of Spot-On Therapy Group.
Troy's hobbies include; golfing, flag football, baseball, boating, and traveling.

Kiko was born in Strasburg, PA on March 9, 2015 along with 8 additional and healthy brothers and sisters. Kiko was taken to her new home in East Syracuse, NY on May 4, 2015 where she immediately began to grow into the sweet, loving angel she is today. Although Kiko misses her playtime in the New York snow, she currently enjoys going on car rides (long or short), taking trips to the beach (although the ocean is still a little scary), going for boat trips on the Intracoastal Waterway, meeting new friends at the dog park, chasing down tennis balls, any time of the day naps, and watching her favorite NFL team on Sundays - the Buffalo Bills. Kiko has happily taken on her new role as the company mascot since 2021, where she has become the main focal point of the company logo and overall theme. Keep an eye out, you never know when she might make an appearance!
